Before: A typical massage session begins with about 5-10 minutes of intake where we’ll go over your health history and your goals for the session in order to collaborate on creating a tailored treatment plan for you. Since it’s your body we’re working on, you have the full authority to add or subtract from the treatment plan. Next I’ll leave the room as you undress to your comfort level and get on the massage table underneath the top sheet and blanket.
During: I’ll knock on the door before entering and we’ll have our session (which will be equal parts relaxing and effective to your goals!). During the massage, you still have full authority at any point to pause treatment, stop treatment, or request something different from what I’m doing. It’s your massage!
After: I’ll leave the room to wash my hands while you get dressed, and then we’ll have 5-10 minutes of integration, self-care recommendations, and processing your payment.

It means exactly that: please take off or keep on whatever clothing you wish in preparation for your massage. I’m able to work on people anywhere between fully dressed to fully naked. Many people take underwear off or keep it on—it completely depends on your own comfort. Throughout the session (and in accordance to Oregon state law) I will use the sheet to always keep genitals, the gluteal cleft, and any breast tissue covered at all times. I typically work on glutes undraped unless a client is more comfortable with me working through the sheet instead.

While the industry standard is to leave a 15-20% tip, in my practice an alternative to tipping is to show your appreciation for the massage by referring a friend of yours to me or leave a glowing online review of my business on Google or Yelp. I am always so grateful when a client passes along my name to someone else who might benefit!

As of April 2023, OHA has rescinded the mask mandate in healthcare settings, so masking is now optional in my practice. I am happy to put on a mask if you request it and completely respect your health needs and preferences.
I also have a HEPA grade air purifier running in the room.
Naturally, if you have COVID symptoms or have tested positive for COVID within the last 10 days, please reschedule for another time. Massage is counterproductive when your body is fighting infection and can actually make your symptoms worse.
-
If you know you’ll need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please do so well before your upcoming session. If it’s 24 hours or less before your session, I will charge your card on file for 75% of the session.
The only exceptions to this are:
If you’ve suddenly had an emergency with yourself or a loved one within 24 hours of your appointment. Life happens to me too sometimes! Let’s reschedule for a later date.
If you have active cold/infection symptoms, are experiencing symptoms of COVID, or have tested positive for COVID in the last 10 days. Let’s both stay healthy! Plus massage is not a good idea for folks in acute stages of infection and can make your symptoms worse. I am happy to push back our session to a later date.
